Repressed emotions, aching desires, lost oportunities cover by beauty, cascading flowers, color and instant gratification. We cover our past, our pain and mistakes same as the Spanish would cover Aztec civilization with Churches or how an old advert is covered by a shiny brand new one. All in the name of progress and “happiness”. Layer upon layer we pretend to cover the past up, but the thruth always finds a way to seek the light.

This body of work, covered with flowers and colors is really about decay, the past and our eternal quest for true meaning. Sadness and joy all rolled up into one.

Emociones reprimidas, deseos dolorosos, oportunidades perdidas cubiertas por la belleza, las flores en cascada, el color y la gratificación instantánea. Cubrimos nuestro pasado, nuestro dolor y errores como los españoles taparían la civilización azteca con Iglesias o como un anuncio viejo se tapa con uno nuevo y reluciente. Todo en nombre del progreso y la “felicidad”. Capa tras capa pretendemos tapar el pasado, pero la verdad siempre encuentra la manera de buscar la luz.

Este conjunto de obras, cubierto de flores y colores, trata realmente sobre la decadencia, el pasado y nuestra eterna búsqueda del verdadero significado. Tristeza y alegría, todo en uno.
